Sarah and Justin’s Montana Elopement in Glacier National Park
I was honored to be a part of Sarah and Justin’s Montana elopement, a couple from Arkansas with a mutual love for the great outdoors. Their elopement at Glacier National Park in Montana was a combination of beauty from the national park and joy from their commitment to one another.
First Look at Lake McDonald
The day began at Lake McDonald, where Sarah and Justin shared their first look. The clear water and Montana mountains were the perfect backdrop for this intimate moment. Sarah looked stunning in her second-hand vintage wedding dress, which perfectly fits her personality since she is a vintage pinup model. Justin couldn’t take his eyes off her. You could feel the love these two shared as soon as they were together.
After this sweet start to the day, we moved to Sunpoint in St Mary for the ceremony. August in Glacier National Park means wildflowers are in full bloom, and Sunpoint is surrounded by vibrant colors. One of my favorite things about Montana elopements is that the nature around us is so beautiful with the wildflowers and trees that you genuinely don’t need any extra wedding decor to have a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding. Their wedding ceremony was small, with close family and friends, set against one of the most breathtaking landscapes, which looked like a Windows computer screensaver in real life! The emotions and the views made every photo I captured extra special for Sarah and Justin.
Going to The Sun Road Adventure for a Montana Elopement
Following the ceremony, we parted ways with the guests and headed on an adventure together. Sarah, Justin, and I adventured along the Going-to-the-Sun Road. This road is known for its jaw-dropping backgrounds and did not disappoint! We made a few stops along the way, including the Birdwoman Falls lookout, where Sarah and Justin enjoyed a celebratory slice of cake. But the adventure didn’t stop there. We ended the evening with Justin fishing during a beautiful sunset, and both took a dip in Lake McDonald. These moments were not just fun but so them, just enjoying each other’s company and the view together.
Being a Montana elopement photographer is a blessing with all of the sweetest couples trusting me to guide them on this journey and the nature we are surrounded by. My vivid and bold photography style compliments the landscape so nicely. Sarah and Justin wedding day was filled with personal touches that reflected their personalities, from Sarah’s vintage flair to Justin love for fishing. This elopement wasn’t just about the stunning settings or the vintage wedding dress; it was about celebrating Sarah and Justin journey in a place they wanted to experience together. As they continue to explore more National Parks and the West Coast, their elopement will be the highlight of the start of this new adventure together.
